Tailored Day Services
Tailored Day Services
At Adaptive Learning Center, we believe that every adult should have the opportunity to participate in meaningful activities in his or her community. Through Tailored Day Services, we are able to provide support services that are derived entirely from a “Person Centered Thinking” approach. For most people, this means that ALC is able to assist them will preparing for integrated employment opportunities of their choosing, or in lines of work that are desirable to them. In addition to providing support for work preparedness, our Tailored Day Services can also be utilized for helping someone attend college or adult school classes to enhance skills, participate in activities that will increase social and “soft” skills, and help individuals discover their strengths and passions.
Some of the services provided via TDS include:
• Career assessment- assisting individuals to articulate career interests, clarifying short and long-term employment goals, and assessing his/her employment related skills, etc.
• Exploration of local labor market– identifying current job opportunities matching the individual’s skills and interests)
• Resume Building – working with the individual to prepare resume highlighting strengths, job and volunteer experience, education and other related skills.
• Interviewing preparation and support
• Assistance in finding volunteer/internship opportunities and supporting the individual onsite as needed to ensure a successful experience.
• Exploration of community resources – assist the individual to attend classes/workshops offered at America’s Job Centers, community college and adult schools as deemed appropriate.
